For the life I’ve been (30+ years) –or even far longer before– there has not been any significant improvement of Becak design.
Cities regulations have forced Becak to stop their operation or move to rural areas where road infrastructure is even more difficult for Becak. I have a redesign concept for Becak, a totally new version of Becak.
The new Becak design or I call it BECAK Version 2.0 have new features and design. Energy efficiency, safety and comfort will take priority in the design. The BECAK Version 2.0 will be by far easy to drive and navigate, safe and comfortable. Some enhancements will be made in the suspension system, brake system and wheather condition system. The BECAK Version 2.0 can be a major tourist attraction and prefered tourist transportation.
I need a strong and visioner sponsor in financial and marketing for this concept. The BECAK Version 2.0 may even be recognized in Records Museum of Indonesia (MURI) as the first innovation for longest forgotten design of Becak.
